LANSING (AP) Chris Vaive often heads to a downtown Irish pub for a cold one after a day sorting mail for the U.S. Postal Service. He usually seeks out a bar stool near the door, closer to fresh air and hopefully farther away from the smoke.

If you ban smoking in bars and restaurants, you should ban the sale of cigarettes in all public places. Better yet stop the growing of tobacco and manufacturing of cigarettes all together. Stop the federal government from subsidizing tobacco farmers.
