Bar owners sue to stop smoking ban (Denver Post)
A coalition of bar and tavern owners this afternoon asked a federal judge to stop the statewide smoking ban from going into effect July 1. In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Denver, the group claimed that the law violates its members' constitutional right to equal protection because the ban does not apply to casinos, cigar bars or tobacco shops.
