City Council puts off vote on smoking ban in parks (The Salt Lake Tribune)
The proposed smoking ban in Salt Lake City parks may be troublesome to City Council members, but not to the public. Just a handful of residents came to speak at a public hearing Tuesday night and virtually all were for stubbing out smoking. "If we eliminate smoking in public places, it furthers the goal of reducing youth smoking," 18-year-old Mike Ferguson told the council.
