If you have a virus called Recycler.exe on your computer, you will want to read this article. The Trojan targets Recycler removable drives and it's really hard to get deleted. Many anti-virus software is not detected or custom will not solve the problem if they do detect Recycler.exe. The virus is also known as SHUCKBOT-A and is a Trojan.
You can also find in your processes list or recycler.exe called SHUCKBOT-A. You bring the process list in Windows by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete together and then select the Processes tab of
at the top of the screen. Click Image name at the top left and may be sorted alphabetically processes making it easier to determine if you have this trojan on your computer. Also called worm can recycling. And that only infects Windows machines, exploiting its vulnerabilities – no impact on Linux or Mac machines
Now two solutions to this problem. Watch and remove the three files at the root Documents and Settings-All Users-Application Data. These files are:
driver.exe, waults.exe and hpzinfo.txt text file.
You could waults.exe find that it is running in which case you need to complete the process before it can be erased. Also delete the Recycler folder on the root drive through DOS command. Go to the root (C: />) by typing (cd ..) go to the root directory (C: />) then type the following:
dir / a / p
you might want to locate the following:
xx Kb RSH autorun.inf
You need to get rid of the flags RSH, which means:
R-read only
S System —
H-hidden
To do this, go to: autorun.inf attrib-rsh
Then type: the autorun.inf (enter) and say "yes" when asked are you sure (Side note: when I was learning to use a computer 20 years ago some of the instructions forgot to mention earlier I had kept hitting the "enter" to complete the command. Now I put something that nobody else falls for that mistake not to hit the enter key and wondered why nothing happens!)
Then make Same for the folder of the recycler and then the flash drive will that is the root dir. So if this is the drive is E: /, then type cmd>> E: And over again.
Finally, format the USB stick and has proved Recycler.exe how to reach his bike and leave alone.
The workaround is to use a software called flash disinfector. This comes from a company called BLEEPING computer (you can find with a Google search) and will get rid of a lot more than Recycler.exe virus. It is also small so not too long to download.
Good luck!
